It’s time to say goodbye to 2022! This past year was memorable and filled with happy times. We also had some sad times. Overall, we feel blessed and grateful for another healthy and prosperous year. It’s all possible because of our incredible community of clients, vendors, and staff! Thank you to all for your loyalty and support! We look forward to continued success in 2023.
Here are key highlights from 2022:
Welcoming of New Staff
We welcomed two talented hairstylists to our team, Cathy, and Nyasia as well as reservationist, Halia.
Cathy (top right) has been a colorist and stylist for over 20 years. Her talent and drive to always make sure our guests are happy are just some of the reasons we are so glad she joined us.
Nyasia (bottom left), formerly our receptionist, is passionate about color and excels in styled blow dries. Her favorite part about working at Jessica’s Color Room is the environment.
Halia (left) has excellent customer service skills which she uses to ensure guest satisfaction. Her favorite part of working at Jessica’s Color Room is using her creative skills to help motivate the stylists.

Training
We believe in continuous improvement and staying up to date with industry trends and techniques, which is why training is a major focus at our salon.

The team that plays together, stays together! We were at the Next Level hair show, held in Rhode Island, presented by Masello Salon Services of New England. The hair show featured industry-leading brands and artists. We enjoyed show floor education, new brand launches, and more!
This past Fall, salon owner Jessica and hairstylist Rachel completed training with Strategies in Chicago. Strategies, of Centerbrook, CT, provides coaching, training, and expertise to help salons with profitability and growth.

Hairstylists Heidi and Shontai (top) had an amazing time learning Redken Balayage techniques this past fall and got to meet amazing Redken artists!
Hair stylist Rachel is participating in the IBE (Invisible Bead Extensions) training program. IBE is a Weft extension method, a comfortable and seamless way to blend natural hair with wefts.
Cheers to 20 Years!
In August, Jessica’s Color Room (JCR) celebrated its 20th anniversary. The photo is from the early days of JCR when Jessica’s oldest son came to work with her every day. She would interview new employees, style hair, and answer phones, all while breastfeeding and caring for him.
20 years later, she appreciates every one of her clients and staff members who helped make the salon a success!
