We are excited to announce that our hairstylist, Rachel, recently became Level 1, IBE (Invisible Beaded Extensions) certified. IBE is an attachment method where a row of beads is applied in a horseshoe shape around the hair shaft. The extensions or wefts are then stitched closely into the beads. Because the wefts are placed above and below the beads, the beads become invisible. Hair color can also be applied with the total process taking about 3 hours in the salon. Invisible Bead Extensions appear seamless in your hair and are comfortable and easy to maintain.
Here are key IBE benefits:
• Versatility in styling – Because the beads are stitched so closely to the hair shaft, they are virtually invisible when hair is lifted. You can now wear your hair up in a ponytail comfortably.
• No tension on the scalp – The beads are not in direct contact with the scalp because the hair is woven into the beads. As a result, you’ll feel no tension on your scalp or irritation.
• Easy maintenance – To care for IBE extensions, we recommend washing your hair with sulfate-free shampoo and gently washing (no scrubbing) the area where the beads are. Also, apply hydrating conditioner to the extensions and rinse thoroughly. Gently towel your hair dry and when your hair is damp, not wet, you can blow-dry. You’ll also want to keep the extensions detangled with frequent brushing.
Invisible Bead Extensions last about 6-12 months. However, they will need to be adjusted every 7 to 10 weeks as your hair grows. They are a great way to add thickness and/or length to your hair. You can even add color at the same time, giving you a completely new and fresh look.
